The ninth edition of NEW CITY ART FAIR was held as an art section in “PR01. TRADE SHOW TAIPEI,” a creative event mixed with fashion, art, and product. Held in conjunction with “Taipei IN Style”, one of the major fashion events in Taipei which organized by Taiwan government, PR01. TRADE SHOW TAIPEI became a high-profile event in Taipei. In addition, in the adjacent hall, and held an event “JAPAN MEDIA MIX FESTIVAL in Taipei 2015” to introduce a “New Japan Culture” that spread across a variety of media. Many of Taiwan’s young people also gathered, is also an opportunity to tell the Japanese creative. In NEW CITY ART FAIR, four Taiwanese galleries were participated in this year. NEW CITY ART FAIR was able to connect to one of our purposes, the “Transmission of Asian Creative,” and re-confirmed our future development.

In DMO ARTS booth, an artist Chiaki Kohara held the live painting on the weekend and attracted a lot of visitors. Two entertainers Akihiro Nishino (KingKong) and Makoto Kotani(Homeless) held a talk event to introduce their art activities. Nishino had a special exhibition at NCAF, and many local fans came to the venue.


Introduced the art project “LUMINE meets ART” of LUMINE, a cultural initiative of the Japanese personal care products retailer. It was placed in the first wall of the art area with the description in Japanese, English and Chinese, and largely exposed the main image that was used at this year’s LUMINE meets ART AWARD. Also posted a similar image to the brochure distributed at the venue.


The joint party with “PR01.TRADE SHOW TAIPEI”, “JAPAN MEDIAMIX FESTIVAL in Taipei,” and “Taipei IN Style,” the events that took place at the same time. The live performance by “,” live painting by AI☆MADONNA, and DJ session by Mademoiselle Yulia were held at the party.


PR01.TRADE SHOW, platform which connects to Asia, is a project that introduces fashion brands and Asian art galleries carefully selected from all over the world. Our directors set up their concept area by their own direction. Our goal here is for the global expansion such as adhering each regional characteristic and reality of era, realization of the localization for the market, fit the market to the local size, getting out of the reality that “Asia = Production & Consumption base” that is historically considered, and constructing a new scene that Asia becomes the center of culture next to EU and America. In November 2014, PR01.TRADE SHOW establishes Taipei Fashion Week cooperates with “Taipei IN Style” and strengthening ability to disseminate from Japan by creating a unique fashion market in Taiwan.


Unique culture that anime and manga of Japan has created a new movement that was fused with music, fashion and art beyond the frame of the expression anime and manga. In the hall adjacent to the PR01.TRADE SHOW, an event “JAPAN MEDIA MIX FESTIVAL in Taipei 2015” was held to introduce a “New Japan Culture” that spread across a variety of media. “JAPANESE MANGA LIBRARY” where visitors can read about 3000 comic books in Chinese and take photo shoots with “Evangelion,” one of the most influential Japanese animations which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
In the stage area, it was carried out performance at the opening party of the first day of “” and “AI☆MADONNA” also performed toward the Taiwan audience. Popular food and drinks in Taiwan at the venue, and a lot of young people enjoyed the all day event.
